Today for Lunch I had a Chicken Toscana Sandwich from Zoup's.
This was my first time eating anything from Zoup's and I loved it.
Ingredients: Chicken, roasted red peppers, marinated red onions, provolone cheese & basil mayo. Toasted on Ciabatta.
(I picked off the onions before eating.)
This sandwich is a fantastic lunch item. The pieces of grilled chicken adds protein for energy, while the roasted red peppers give a rejuvenating punch of flavor. The touch of provolone is a subtle addition--it doesn't overpower the other flavors. And then there's the basil mayo--hands down my favorite part of the sandwich! The basil mayo goes extremely well with the bread, chicken, peppers, and cheese.
In comparison to Panera Bread, I think the ingredients were just as tasty and fresh, but I've had softer, more unique, and more delicious bread at Panera Bread.
Still, I would definitely order this item again and again (without onions).
